I normally visit the fine feathered folks at Curbstone Valley to have a Fowl Friday, but this Friday we have one of our own to celebrate.
It seems that sometime in the last 20 hours or so the baby wrens have hatched. There were seven eggs, but I haven’t been able to do a head count to see if they all hatched. It’s all a jumble right now, and I wanted to keep this visit short before the parents got upset.
I’ll be back with more photos as the wrens develop. In the meantime, Happy Birthday little ones!
How neat is that.:)
Amazing, Villager! I love that you included your finger in the picture for a relative size comparison… which means those are the teeniest birds I’ve ever seen. Thanks for sharing and keeping us updated. 🙂
Happy Fowl Friday, and Happy Birthday!!! How absolutely wonderful! Don’t worry, you’re not missing much over here 😛 Thank you for the shout out! I’m looking forward to seeing these little ones grow!
How adorable! I once opened a birdhouse door to check on the eggs, only to find a startled mama glaring at me! I haven’t had the courage to try again. I look forward to watching your wrens grow.
Wow, thanks for the picture! Do keep us posted on those little wrens.
