He’s so cute! I have been bemoaning my need for a telephoto lens, although I have known folks who had an uncanny ability to make friends with wildlife and could get shots like this with a regular lens. Are you that kind of person? i wouldn’t doubt it!

Do you have Pileated there? We have 2 feeding on our suet and they never cease to amaze us with their antics.
Yes, we do have pileated woodpeckers here. I’ve seen then in the trees but never got a photo of them. They remind me of Woody Woodpecker!
