Terrific idea for macro, I love red leaf lettuce and Radicchio it looks like the perfect salad to me!

Stunning series of photos. They are all excellent, but the first one is even better. You must frame and hang that one.
Thank you all for your kind comments. John, that first photo was shot using the “macro in a Mason jar” technique that David Perry described on his photography blog awhile back. My wife did a nice set of photos on her blog that really shows the technique.
Basically, I put the lettuce seeds in the bottom of a wide-mouth Mason jar, perched my little Kodak DX7590 on top of the jar, and put the whole thing in the photo tent for good lighting.
Oh, I love this post! The seeds in the first photo are great, but I love the Tropicana lettuce leaves – so hard to get a shot like that evenly lit and level. It’s great!
