That’s what the baby house wrens are saying every time I am around the nest box. Feed me mamma! Or pappa, doesn’t matter, just FEED ME!
The babies are about 12 days old now, and starting to grow feathers and look more like the birds they will soon become.
This will be the last time I open the box and sneak a peak at the babies. In a week they should start venturing out into the world. At that point I’ll clean up the box, and get it ready for the next residents.
Birds, you better get your reservations in soon. These accomodations fill quickly!
